 Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, neighbors, health and human services workers, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis.

Who We Are

We are a group of experienced professionals dedicated to helping individuals and organizations achieve the strategies needed to support youth in their communities and schools. Our team is composed of experienced educators who are certified by the National Council of Mental Wellbeing.  With hundreds of hours of instruction, we share a passion for teaching and mentoring.

In a Youth Mental Health First Aid class, you learn:

  • Risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems
  • Information on depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, and addiction disorders
  • Where to turn for help — professional, peer, and self-help resources
  • A 5-step action plan to help someone developing a mental health problem or in crisis
